Leap Year Ride 2020 Truth BBQ 2/29/20

Saturday, Friday, February 29, 2020 “Leap Year Ride ’20”, to Truth BBQ, Brenham, TX

Casino Ride Kinder, LA 2/15-16/20

The weekend ride to Kinder was a lot of fun. Some of us won, some of us didn’t, but we all had fun. The burgers at Novrozsky’s in Silsbee are very good – I’ll be going back. We also got our first entries in the 50 Rides 1 Nation – we’ll let you know what the ‘souvenir’ ends up being.

Blue Iguana 2/15/20

Great turnout today for a ride to Blue Iguana in Magnolia. 21 riders on 21 bikes enjoyed some city streets, 4 lanes highways and a few backroads on the 63 mile trip. Food was good and our large group was served fairly quickly. Great to see everyone out riding!

February Chapter Meeting 2/8/20

Our February meeting is in the books! Our Director, Phil Smith reported that he concluded from the recent Regional Officer Connection that we are likely the best HOG Chapter in the country! I’d have to agree with that. We are all about riding and having fun and have more planned rides than most chapters! So be proud of your Chapter!

We were very pleased to welcome our 3 newest members today…Charles Russell, Robert Faltisek and Scott Mathes. We look forward to riding with them and getting to know them better.

Our next HOOT is coming up on February 21st at Mezcal Cantina and our Mardi Gras event and cook off on February 22. We need teams to sign up and bring their best Cajun fare! And…for the ladies, there’ll be a Garage Party on March 5. Guys are welcome but they will have their own activities while the ladies learn a few tips and tricks about their bikes.

Carlos Santoyo was awarded his Hoot patch for reaching his 50th ride with us! Congratulations Carlos! Apparently there are a few others who will be approaching their Hoot milestones soon. And last, but certainly not least, on awards…someone has earned his Drop Certified patch. Welcome to the club, D.j. Pittman 😂

No one fessed up to having a February birthday and Mike Wilson was the lucky winner of the $90 door prize.

Stay tuned to the Blast, FB and our website for more important dates and events to come.

Yankee Tavern 2/6/20

Six riders on six bikes took a brisk 70 mile ride to Yankee Tavern today, thanks Kenny Greer for hosting the ride.

Cochran’s Grill 2/1/20

My inaugural host ride is in the books. Fourteen riders on fourteen bikes took an 80 mile ride from the dealership to Cochran’s Grill in Cochran, TX. Weather was great along with the food and the company, Thanks to all who joined me today and I also want to say thanks to Charlie & Mary Ellen for the food and hospitality.
